Liverpool are closing in on a massive transfer agreement.

The Reds are heading into a massive summer, with huge changes taking place all across the club. From the manager's office to the playing squad, there is a new era beginning at Anfield once again.

Andoni Iraola will bring a fresh approach to Liverpool.

The Spaniard has earned plenty of praise for the work he did at Bournemouth and is expected to arrive with several members of his trusted coaching staff.

More importantly, he'll bring a different style of football. Iraola's teams are known for their intensity, aggressive pressing and fast transitions, which should make Liverpool an exciting team to watch.

That change in style could have a big impact on how the team plays. Training sessions, tactical plans and even the types of players Liverpool target in the transfer market may all look different under the new coaching setup. Supporters can expect a team that plays with energy and looks to put opponents under pressure from the first whistle.

But a new manager is only part of the story.

Liverpool are also losing some of the players who have been at the heart of the club's success over the last decade. Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate have all left following the end of their contracts, bringing three memorable Liverpool careers to a close.

Their departures leave some huge gaps to fill. Salah's goals and creativity, Robertson's leadership and consistency, and Konate's presence in defence won't be easy to replace. And there could still be more players heading for the exit before the transfer window closes.

Who knows what the future holds for players like Curtis Jones and Alexis Mac Allister. Or even Joe Gomez, Federico Chiesa and Cody Gakpo, who is now beginning to attract interest from elsewhere.

That means Liverpool's recruitment team faces one of its biggest tests in recent years. New signings will be needed, not just to replace quality on the pitch but also the experience and personality that these players brought to the dressing room.

There's naturally a lot of uncertainty surrounding so much change, but there's also plenty of excitement.

New faces are expected to arrive, young players could be given bigger opportunities and fans will get their first look at what an Iraola-led Liverpool really looks like. By the end of the summer, the squad could look very different - but that might be exactly what the club needs.

New face and new arrivals are going to be happening at U21 level as well. Most notably there's going to be huge chances in the centre-back department.

Mor Talla Ndiaye was recruited in January and Ifeanyi Ndukwe will be coming in this summer. Together they are expected to be the starting centre-backs for the club's U21 side, while also providing much needed depth for the first team.

However, their arrivals will also have a ripple effect on some of Liverpool's current players. Amara Nallo and Wellity Lucky are expected to go out on loan.

Meanwhile, another key player for the U21s Carter Pinnington could leave on a permanent deal.

Liverpool are closing in on an agreement to sell the defender to West Brom. Peter O'Rourke reports that Pinnington is set to join the Championship club, who won the race to sign him.

It's an interesting move. Pinnington has been a very talented player for Liverpool's academy. He's been at the club since U7 level so he's spent 12 years all together at Anfield.

But now at 19-years-old, he's ready for more opportunities at senior level and West Brom will definitely give him the platform to do that.
