It's important to remind everyone that Liverpool have a special winger heading to the club very soon.

January has marked a significant acceleration of the club's plans under the new leadership.

Liverpool have accelerated attempts to sign two young centre-backs who caught the eye at the U17 World Cup.

Ifeanyi Ndukwe and Mor Talla Ndiaye will both be Liverpool players. The former has already joined the club and he comes from Amitie FC, an academy owned by Demba Ba.

Ndiaye is a new kind of transfer for Liverpool. The type of transfer the club hasn't really in the past. He comes directly from Africa and he will be able to join the club immediately due to the ESC player rules, which permit Liverpool to secure him a work-permit and allow him to play for the club's U21 side.

Prior to Brexit, and prior to the introduction of the ESC exemption rule, Liverpool were not able to sign young talents like Ndiaye so smoothly.

Taiwo Awoniyi was the only other player the club signed directly from Nigeria and he had to go on several loan spells before he ultimately was able to sign for a Premier League club.

By that point though he had joined Nottingham Forest and not Liverpool. And he had been on so many loan spells that we've lost count of it.

Imagine how differently his career might have looked had he been able to immediately join Liverpool.

That's what Ndiaye is now going to be able to do, and that's a huge advantage in favour of him and the Reds. It also opens the door for Liverpool to buy players from the African continent.

And that's why we are here to remind you that Mor Talla Ndiaye is not the only player who is set to join the club from Senegal.

As we revealed exclusively on Anfield Watch in the summer, Sidy Barhama Ndiaye has also agreed to join Liverpool.

A winger, who Liverpool scouts spotted at the U17 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) where Ndiaye played an age group above his own and very much dazzled observers with his quality.

Ndiaye has already impressed the club's coaches as well.

He spent two weeks at Liverpool and made two substitute appearances for the U18s in the summer, registering an assist and scoring in the other game.

Ndiaye won't be able to join Liverpool until he celebrates his 18th birthday. This will be on the 31st December 2027.

However, Liverpool have already agreed a deal to sign him in principle in a similar deal to Kendry Paez's move to Chelsea from Independiente del Valle, which was agreed two years prior to his arrival this summer.

As per FIFA rules, he will be able to spend up to eight weeks per calendar year at the club before he is able to officially complete his move.

Liverpool rate Ndiaye very highly. There are shades of his countryman Sadio Mane in his style of play, and he's regarded as one of the best young prospects in Senegal.

We still have to wait a bit of time for him. But don't forget! He is coming to Anfield very soon.
