Crazy BETRAYAL could send international star to Liverpool
A crazy betrayal may send one Premier League star straight to Liverpool. The Reds will be licking their lips.
Liverpool did all they could to sign Marc Guehi in the summer. They pushed and pushed, hoping Crystal Palace would eventually agree to a sale.
Palace, after all, were always under pressure to sell. Guehi's contract expires at the end of the season and losing him for nothing would be a massive blow for them.

He's a player worth over £60m in an ordinary window. Liverpool were willing to pay over £30m just for one year of his contract.
But with a medical done and terms agreed, Palace pulled the plug at the last minute. This was reportedly down to manager Oliver Glasner, who didn't want to lose his captain without a replacement.
Now, that's fair enough. You point to the contract, let the player know you need him, and hope he's loyal enough to move on from a failed transfer. It certainly appears that Guehi has done that.
Until now...
Oliver Glasner's big betrayal
So Glasner wants Guehi to stick around and show some loyalty for the good of the team. But he reportedly won't do the same.
Ben Jacobs claims that, according to what he's been told, Glasner is ready to immediately bin off Palace to join Manchester United. Should the Red Devils decide to move on from Ruben Amorim, of course.
It's quite shocking to hear, in fact. It was strongly reported in the final days of the window that Glasner was against Guehi leaving and wanted to hold him to his contract.
However, he's willing to forgo his own contract in favour of a 'bigger' move. One that would leave Guehi at Palace, without the person who convinced him to stay.
It's a situation that surely lends itself to Guehi joining Liverpool in January. Palace will be eager to sell in order to get some sort of fee for their captain, while the loyalty thing isnt' exactly going to play again.
In fact, it would make sense for Palace to get immediate funds simply to help any new manager, should Glasner leave the club. A mad situation but one that ultimately should benefit Liverpool - albeit months later than planned.
