Brilliant news for Liverpool star after HORROR injury
Liverpool have suffered a series of awful injuries this season. At least one player can breathe a sigh of relief, however.
Liverpool have had awful injury luck this season. And not in the usual way, either, of players being out constantly (though, they've had that, too).
But it's particularly notable that three Liverpool stars have had genuinely serious injuries in this campaign. The first was Giovanni Leoni, who suffered a terrible knee injury on his debut that will likely keep him out for around a year.
For an 18-year-old to suffer like that is just terrible - hopefully, he can fully recover and continue his development.
Alexander Isak is another who is out indefinitely. The club's record signing underwent surgery after a leg fracture against Tottenham Hotspur last month.
And now there's Connor Bradley. Bradley suffered an awful knee injury against Arsenal last week - it's one that ends his season and sets him on a long road to recovery.
But he has had some positive news.
Conor Bradley's future
The Athletic report that Liverpool aren't likely to move for a new right-back in this transfer window. It's a massive boost for Bradley, who risked losing his place on the back of the injury.
And losing it long-term, too. Liverpool could easily justify pursuing a new right-back, especially as they've had so many injury concerns there this season.
Dominik Szoboszlai has operated as a right-back frequently this season - a situation that's not ideal but likely to persist for the remainder of the campaign. The club have the option to get him back in midfield by moving for someone new.
But it seems they won't. Instead, Bradley should have his place waiting for him once he recovers later in the year and he can focus on recovering properly, rather than rushing back to compete for the right-back role.
