Arsenal v Liverpool set to go ahead as planned

Any fears over Arsenal's clash with Liverpool not going ahead tomorrow night appear to have been played down with the Gunners' fitness crisis starting to subside.

The Reds head to the Emirates Stadium two weeks later than originally planned for their EFL Cup fixture there, with this match tomorrow night now the second leg rather than the intended first leg when the draw was first made.

The Reds and Arsenal played out a 0-0 draw last week at Anfield and Liverpool will be looking to get on the scoresheet this time in order to progress.

Arsenal's game with Spurs was postponed at the weekend, meanwhile, but it looks as though, as per the Standard, that cancellation shouldn't be an issue tomorrow:

Anfield Watch Verdict

It's been a testing couple of weeks for both clubs with both seeing matches cancelled and hopefully tomorrow's game can go ahead without issue.

The tie is finely poised after a scoreless draw last Thursday and the finest of margins could decide things.

Hopefully, the Reds will emerge as victors.
