Liverpool enjoyed another fruitful evening at Anfield on Thursday night, thrashing their Austrian opponents LASK 4-0 in the Europa League.

A brace from Cody Gakpo, a header from Luis Diaz and a penalty from Mohamed Salah saw the Reds romp to victory, topping their Europa League group in the process and securing safe passage to the round of 16 next March.

Jurgen Klopp's side have eased to victories in their other home group games by beating Union Saint-Gilloise 2-0 and Toulouse 5-1, all while heavily rotating their starting lineup.

One thing Liverpool can always rely on is their home form, something that has been highlighted by the Reds' incredible record at Anfield this season.

A victory against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup has been added to by Premier League wins against Bournemouth, Aston Villa, West Ham, Everton, Nottingham Forest and Brentford.

In the process of breezing past sides at Anfield this season, Liverpool have become only the second side in English football history to achieve an impressive feat.

According to Opta, the Reds have won all ten of their home games this season, each by a two-goal margin or more. That makes them only the second side to achieve this in English football, the other being Wolverhampton Wanderers back in 1939.

Wolves' record of winning home games by two or more goals stands at 12 consecutive matches, meaning Liverpool would have to beat Fulham and Manchester United in upcoming fixtures to match that impressive tally.

If the Reds could win those games and then beat West Ham in the Carabao Cup before Christmas, all by a two-goal margin or more, then they would beat Wolves' record that has stood for 84 years.

It goes without saying that Liverpool have been in terrific home form this season, although they haven't faced the sternest of opposition. The real test for the Reds will come during the festive period as the Reds host Man Utd and Arsenal before Christmas, as well as Newcastle on New Year's Day.

If the Reds can maintain their impressive home form, then they will certainly put themselves in a strong position to compete for the Premier League title.
