Liverpool move closer to sealing €100m deal

So far, it feels like Liverpool have been linked with almost every player in the world.

Every other day a new link with the Anfield outfit emerges or another team enters a transfer race for one of their players and, at the moment, it's getting a tad overwhelming trying to keep up to date with all the news and rumours.

It's clear that Liverpool need to sign at least three or four players this summer to just get to the same level as their title rivals.

However, since they'll also be adding some firepower to their ranks, the overall total of new players that the Reds will need to sign could be around six or seven.

Of course, the number of moves Richard Hughes makes depends on how many players he can sell and which positions from Andoni Iraola's team are on his priority list.

There are many options from across the world for the Anfield outfit to explore but, their chase for one player may have just been given the biggest boost possible.

Paris Saint-Germain want to sign Crysencio Summerville

Paris Saint-Germain have just won the Champions League for the second season in a row and have managed to prove their dominance once again.

With this in mind, you wouldn't expect Luis Enrique to want to change his ranks all that much but, surprisingly, they've been linked with a fair few players themselves.

Because of this, some of their current crop of players have been linked with exits such as Bradley Barcola, as Anfield Watch shared back in April.

And, since the Reds are in the market for a new attacker, links between the Anfield outfit and the Frenchman have started to emerge.

Initially, they were brushed off by most reporters but now, a fresh update from Santi Aouna could've just handed Liverpool a massive lifeline.

"PSG has made contact with West Ham to find out the exit conditions for Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes," he wrote.

"The Hammers are demanding 50M€ for Summerville and 80M€ for Fernandes.

"Discussions have also taken place with the entourages of both players.

"Very strong competition for Matheus Fernandes. Real Madrid and Manchester United & PL clubs interested."

Bradley Barcola would be an unreal acquisition for Liverpool

Barcola is a dream target that nobody within Liverpool would've thought possible at the start of the season.

But, with Mohamed Salah's massive wages off the books and the Reds' clear need for some top-class talent, it feels like a move could really be on.

PSG have always been reluctant to sell due to his importance to the team but, if they end up signing someone such as Summerville, they'd almost certainly have too many wingers on their books.

At the moment, Enrique has Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Barcola and Ibrahima Mbaye among his ranks, all of which can cover either wing.

However, with Summerville added to that equation, even with the minimal amount of playing time that PSG's players seem to get, it's still too many.

This is why Barcola joining Liverpool could become a reality, even if he is set to cost around €100m to prise away from the Parc de Princes.
