Liverpool given one in three chance of signing PSG attacker

Paris Saint-Germain have now knocked Liverpool out of the Champions League twice in two years.

The Anfield outfit put up a much better fight last season than they did this time around with Arne Slot's men getting beaten 4-0 on aggregate.

Luis Enrique has turned the Ligue 1 outfit into one of the most dominant teams in the world with almost every single one of their signings managing to improve their ranks and their chances of winning.

However, since almost every single one of their signings has been a hit, players are often left on the sidelines when they all deserve to be playing every game possible.

This has led to many transfer rumours emerging with Liverpool now being given a decent chance of acquiring one of Enrique's attackers this summer in their search for first-team upgrades.

Liverpool could sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue or Bradley Barcola this summer

As mentioned, PSG have one of the best teams in the world at the moment with almost every area of their team having two world-class players per position.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue and Bradley Barcola all deserve to play in as many games as possible but, since others such as Ousmane Dembele and even Randal Kolo Muani will be fighting for those positions next term, at least two players will have to miss out each game.

Recently, due to the injury suffered by Barcola, the Frenchman has been the one left out but, now they're all fit, they all seem to be fighting for three positions within PSG's team.

This means that the Ligue 1 outfit could be open to a sale with journalist David Lynch admitting that the Reds have a one in three chance of signing one this summer.

"Liverpool, they like pretty much all of those PSG wingers. They like Barcola, they like Doue, they like Kvaratskhelia if they were even on the market this summer maybe," he said to the Anfield Index Podcast.

"And there have been suggestions that might be the case albeit I only think they’ll sell one of them if they do and it will be to bring someone in like [Yan] Diomande so one to keep an eye on."

Mohamed Salah is leaving Liverpool so another big-name player will probably have to come in and replace him this summer.

Several players have already been linked with an Anfield switch with Yan Diomande feeling like the most likely player to join at the moment.

However, if Kvaratskhelia, Doue or Barcola were to join Liverpool, they'd be in dreamland.

All three of the attackers have managed to prove their worth in the Champions League and each of them would be impressive additions for Liverpool.

Of course, each player would cost an arm and a leg to bring to Anfield in the first place but, if Slot and Richard Hughes can figure out a way to make one of these transfers happen, it simply has to be done.

There's obviously still a couple of months until the summer transfer window opens up but, at the moment, it feels like Liverpool are gearing themselves up for another summer full of changes.
