Liverpool have been linked with plenty of Arne Slot’s Feyenoord favourites over the past few transfer windows.

Anis Hadj Moussa, 23, was signed by the Dutch giants last summer for a bargain €1.8m fee from Belgian second-tier side Patro Eisden.

It’s been reported that Slot was left “charmed” by the Paris-born Algerian’s performances in the Eredivisie on loan at Vitesse and requested his transfer.

Liverpool linked with Anis Hadj Moussa

Of course, Slot moved on to Liverpool, meaning that it was left to the Dutchman’s successors in Holland to get the best out of him.

The left-footed right-winger made a slow start in his new surroundings but eventually got to grips with the demands - excelling in the Champions League in particular.

He scored three goals in Feyenoord’s European campaign - including an effort against Manchester City - and the links to Liverpool began to emerge.

It was even suggested that chief scout Barry Hunter had been in contact with the winger’s entourage over the terms of a summer deal.

Discussed as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, Hadj Moussa is under contract until 2029 but could be available for a bargain €10m to €12m according to reports.

He’s scored eight goals in the Dutch top flight this season, adding three assists, following a circuitous path to the top. Hadj Moussa began his career with Lens before playing semi-pro with Olympic Charleroi in Belgium.

Anis Hadj Mousa wants DREAM move

Now 23, Hadj Mousa is now plotting the next step and has identified Liverpool as a potential landing spot.

“My dream club? I think it’s great that I’m playing at Feyenoord now and I really want to be successful here. I also like to watch FC Barcelona,” he told Het Belang van Limburg in a recent interview as translated by Sport Witness.

“It’s a dream for every young footballer to one day play for big clubs like Barça, Real Madrid, Liverpool or Arsenal.

“But I have so many more dreams: winning AFCON with Algeria and going to the World Cup, for example.”

Hadj Moussa ranks highly on FOTMOB for expected assists, successful dribbles and touches in the opposition box. But if he is going to make the grade at Anfield he will need to brush up on his possessions won in the final third.
