World-class star WANTS to join Liverpool
A world-class star has made it clear he wants to join Liverpool.
Sometimes as a fan of the Reds these days you have to pinch yourself and question whether all of this is real? In the last decade, Liverpool have always spent money but they have never spent the excess they are spending this summer.
The FSG war chest has finally been opened and Richard Hughes is reaping the rewards securing brilliant new arrivals.
Already, seven new faces have turned up at the AXA training centre to bolster Arne Slot's options.
This includes big money signings like Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and now Hugo Ekitike. As well as a club record signing in Florian Wirtz.
And this window is not even over yet. We still have just over a month to go until it slams shut and Liverpool don't seem to be stopping.
In fact, they seem to be making even more moves. Including for a world-class superstar that could end up trumping their move for Wirtz.

Ekitike's arrival has meant that Liverpool are well stocked in the attacking department. But that won't stop Hughes from wanting to add more depth.
That's because Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz both face uncertain futures. It's entirely possible that both of them could leave this summer.
Which in turn would leave Liverpool's attacking options looking quite bare, considering one of those options might be Federico Chiesa, who too faces an uncertain future.
And in order to bolster their options, Liverpool want to sign a world-class forward.
The club's dream option is of course Alexander Isak. After Isak made his desire to leave Newcastle clear, Liverpool are readying a bid for the Swedish striker.
Naturally, Isak's decision to make his desire clear will alert other clubs to his services. Saudi sides like Al Hilal are already keen on trying to bring him to their team.
However, Liverpool will be confident the world-class forward only wants them. According to Sacha Tavolieri writing in an X post, Isak has 'given his priority' to Liverpool and he wants to join the club.
That's honestly incredible to hear.
He's not only a world-class striker but one of the best players in the Premier League. If Liverpool can somehow get this deal over the line, they will be formidable for the next four to five years.
