Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has recently taken to Twitter to praise Reds right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The 43-year-old believes that the Scouser is currently one of the best players in the world.

With that being the case, Carragher said that Alexander-Arnold will be included in his Sky Sports hypothetical World XI.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Alexander-Arnold is a world-class talent. The Scouser is a defender by trade.

However, Alexander-Arnold is also damaging going forward. The right-back has scored two goals and registered 15 assists in 24 appearances for Liverpool this season.

Alexander-Arnold has already won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and Premier League title with the Reds.

Due to the defender's age (23), he could still achieve a lot more in the game. In terms of Carragher's comments, we do agree.

Alexander-Arnold is currently the best right-back in the game for the aforementioned reasons. We love watching the youngster in action.
