Who is Kobi Akerele? Meet Liverpool's incredible wonderkid
Liverpool's academy has a number of really exciting talents right now and the latest to make his mark on the international stage is Kobi Akerele.
It's fair to say there's an exciting generation coming through the ranks of the academy at Kirkby. We're starting to see the emergence of Joshua Abe and Erik Farkas.
Vincent Joseph is also not far away, having netted six goals in four games for England at U16 level. It feels like it's only a matter of time until he makes his debut for the U18s when Josh Sonni-Lambie is finally promoted to the U21s.
But behind them, there's another group of talented individuals.
One of those in Luca Eden has already made his U18 debut, becoming the youngest to ever make an appearance for Liverpool at that level since records began.
Eden was just 14 years old when he came on against Manchester United at the AXA academy.
It was a special moment for the youngster, who also captains England at U15 level. Eden is definitely a name to keep an eye on.
But he's not the only one with an exciting potential in the same age group.
Liverpool also have a very talented forward who has been scoring goals at an incredible rate for England's U15 side.
Meet Kobi Akerele. The latest wonderkid who is well worth keeping an eye on at academy level.
The 14-year-old, has three goals in two games for England and just a total of 92 minutes played.
On his debut for the Three Lions, he scored a goal against Iceland after coming off the bench last week. Making his first start against Spain on Wednesday, Akerele scored a brace helping his side to a 3-0 victory.
The youngster has been scoring goals for fun at youth level this season as well. He netted five goals and registered one assist in an 8-3 victory over Bristol City and four goals and one assist in another drubbing of Partick Thistle already this season.
In terms of his profile, he's not the tallest yet but Akerele is fantastic technically and holds the ball up really well.
He's a real poacher of a striker. He can get on the end of crosses and is very effective at finding space inside the penalty area.
Obviously, at this age, it's still very early on in his development but scoring three goals in your first 92 minutes for England is definitely an incredible start to his international career.
It's why he's a name to keep a close eye on.
