Liverpool have a very promising group of players coming through the academy ranks at the moment.

We've all heard about Rio Ngumoha and seen what he can do but there are more players of his ilk ready to break into the first-team.

Liverpool right now have some of the country's brightest prospects in their age-group. Ngumoha is one of the best players of the 2008 generation, meanwhile Erik Farkas is regarded as one of the best from the 2009-group that includes an incredible list such as Max Dowman, Jeremy Monga and Ryan Kavuma-Mcqueen.

You've also all heard about Joshua Abe, who is regarded as the best prospect in England from the 2010 group. He's already a regular for the U18s, and has been scoring and creating goals for fun at U16 international level.

But Abe is not the only exciting Liverpool prospect from the 2010 generation. There's another very promising star who has been likened to Jamal Musiala and dubbed as the next England eligible player to follow in the German star's footsteps.

Only that might not be the case.

Vincent Joseph is an attacking midfielder who can also play as a forward and he's already made a few appearances for the club's U18 side in pre-season, despite being an U16 player.

At international level he's represented Germany's youth national teams but he's recently made a switch.

Joseph decided to accept England's U16 call-up for friendlies this month against Wales, Turkey and Portugal.

The tournament saw Cristiano Jr participate, and it was ultimately won by Portugal. However, Joseph caught the eye as well.

He scored three goals in three games, including a brace against Turkey, with one of those being assisted by Abe.

He comes away as one of the best players of the camp and now has a very important decision to make. This was a friendly tournament, so it does not impact his eligibility for either nation.

Long-term he can make one switch at youth international level, and then he'll have to declare for one or the other at senior level if he gets to that stage.

Like Musiala, he could easily represent England at youth level before declaring for Germany.

From a Liverpool perspective, that doesn't really matter. The fact that they have a talent who two of the biggest footballing nations are fighting over is exciting though.

The goal for the Reds will be to integrate Abe, Farkas and Joseph to the Liverpool first-team in the coming years. Right now the priority is for them to all agree to scholarship deals for next year.

If that happens don't be surprised if Joseph will end up on Arne Slot's radar very soon.
