The future best striker in the world is HERE and Liverpool have to sign him
The future best striker in the world has arrived on the scene and Liverpool have to sign him.
We've seen the club's recruitment at youth level centre towards defenders. Of course, Jeremy Jacquet and Giovanni Leoni were recruited but also Noah Adekoya, Ifeanyi Ndukwe and Mor Talla Ndiaye were signed over the course of the last six months.
This was an understandable move.
Liverpool's defensive is in need of a refresh. The club's senior centre-backs are facing uncertain futures. It is moot whether Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez will be at the club post 2027.
But Liverpool should not only be focusing on recruiting the best young centre-backs in the world, they should also be looking at attackers and signing players of similar ilk to Ndukwe and Ndiaye.
There is one player in particular, who the club should have on their radar because he has everything to be the future best striker on the planet.
Anisio Cabral showcased his quality at the U17 World Cup. He dominated defenders and scored seven goals at the tournament in total, including the winner in the final when he went up against Ndukwe.
Only 17-years-old, Cabral has an incredible record at U17 level for Portugal scoring 16 goals and registering five assists in 26 matches.
He is already very strong for his age, excellent at finding space inside the box and by far and away the most dominant forward in his generation.
But now he's not only showing that at youth level. He has emerged as a star for Benfica under Jose Mourinho.
The former Chelsea manager is not known for giving young players a lot of opportunities but even he can't help but use Anisio.
Mourinho put the teenager on against Estrela to hand him his debut last month and Anisio repaid the faith by scoring within a minute of coming on.
He was then given eight minutes against Tondela in a 0-0 draw and substituted on against Alverca with five minutes to go on Sunday.
Benfica were drawing when Anisio came on. But within seconds a cross found him inside the opposition's penalty area and Anisio put the ball into the back of the net for an incredible match-winner.
It means he now has two goals in 20 minutes of senior football for Benfica. A remarkable start for a remarkable player.
Obviously, Liverpool fans will not want to sign another Benfica forward after the nightmares of Darwin Nunez but Anisio is different.
He's got the makings to be the best striker on the planet one day and Michael Edwards needs to bring him to Anfield.
