Second star set to REJECT Man City and agree Liverpool move
One of the Premier League's most in-demand stars is set to reject a move to Manchester City in favour of Liverpool. It's happening again!
Liverpool shocked everyone in the summer as they saw off competition from Bayern Munich and Manchester City to sign Florian Wirtz. The Reds weren't thought to have a chance and yet Wirtz picked them.
It's an incredibly rare one. Liverpool don't really shop at the top table, or didn't before this summer, and usually lack the financial pull of City and essentially guaranteed titles of a team like Bayern.
Wirtz, though, felt he was best-served playing for Liverpool. The club signed one of the biggest talents in world football because of that, forcing City and Bayern to pivot elsewhere.
Wirtz's start hasn't been flawless, of course, but we still believe he'll go on to become a world-class signing for Liverpool. One you could build your attack around.
That attack certainly needs more work, though. Liverpool are on the path to improving their options - and it could see them repeat what happened back in May.
Antoine Semenyo wants Liverpool move
The Guardian claims that Antoine Semenyo will pick a move to Anfield over Manchester City or Manchester United. All three clubs are eager to sign the player this winter.
And with good reason. Semenyo started this season on fire and while his form has dropped off since then, the potential is there for all to see.
Moreover, he's got a release clause in his Bournemouth contract, allowing for a £65m transfer. Semenyo is very much there for the taking if anyone wants to pay that.
It sounds as though Liverpool do, seeing the Ghanaian as an upgrade to their attack and essentially the replacement for Luis Diaz. Diaz left the Reds in the summer but they never actually bought a new winger to fill the void.
Semenyo would be exactly that and it sounds as though Liverpool may have the upper hand in the fight.
