Richard Hughes already has his Mo Salah replacement, he wants Liverpool
Mohamed Salah's time at Liverpool feels like it's coming to an end.
The Egyptian King has been one of the Reds' most important players but after Arne Slot has chosen to leave him on the bench recently, it feels like his time at Anfield could be coming to its natural end.
The fact that the attacker also chose to have a massive outburst about Slot is far from ideal with his comments putting Liverpool's fanbase in a difficult position.
Talk of a potential swap deal with Real Madrid's Rodrygo has already started to emerge but, it isn't the Brazilian who seems to be lined up as Salah's replacement.
Antoine Semenyo has chosen Liverpool as his next destination
Since the start of the 2025-26 season, links with Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo and Liverpool have been consistent.
The Ghanaian has been one of the Premier League's brightest sparks this term with several clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham all linked with an interest.
However, as per a new report from TEAMtalk, Semenyo has made Liverpool his 'preferred' destination if he leaves Bournemouth.
TEAMtalk share that the Reds' interest has been piqued due to the £65 million release clause in his current contract that will become active in the January transfer window.
There is now a 'real chance' that the attacker could leave the Cherries with Semenyo making the reigning Premier League champions his 'first-choice.'
Richard Hughes has already found his perfect Mo Salah replacement
Semenyo may not have been as consistent as Salah over the last few years but the fact that he's outscoring him in the Premier League this season shows how much he's improved.
The Bournemouth attacker is the star of the show for Andoni Iraola's men and since he can play on either wing, he'd be a perfect replacement for Salah.
Although Salah being a specialist right-winger has worked out for Liverpool in the past, this season, something just hasn't clicked which is why he's been left out of Liverpool's starting XI during their last few games.
For most players, they'd just continue working hard to try and earn their place back in the team but for Salah, this wasn't the case.
Not only is Semenyo lightening quick but he's also an impressive talent and for a fee worth around £65 million, it feels like he'd be a bargain for Richard Hughes.
That is, especially with how desperate the Reds are likely to be if their form continues going downhill until the January transfer window.
