Real Madrid lining up massive €120m bid for Liverpool midfielder

Things could be about to get even harder for Slot with one team ready to break the bank to sign a player no one will want to lose at Anfield.

Real Madrid ready to pay €120 million for Liverpool star

According to a report from Fichajes, Real Madrid have submitted an offer of €120 million (~£105m) for Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.

The Dutchman has remained a mainstay in Slot’s side this season and has taken on increased attacking responsibility.

The report states that Los Blancos have made the 23-year-old a priority and they believe he can be the core of their midfield for the next decade.

Liverpool are reportedly not looking to sell Gravenberch, but the huge figure proposed by the Spanish side could be enough to change the situation.

Gravenberch is under contract until 2028 with no release clause, so the power lies with Liverpool.

Will Liverpool sell Gravenberch?

Even if a deal cannot be agreed in January, Real Madrid are reportedly ready to push for the Dutchman’s signing again in the summer.

A post-season departure for Gravenberch certainly seems the more appealing option for Liverpool, but they won’t want to lose the midfielder either way.

The €120m fee would not only mark a huge profit on Gravenberch, but would allow the Reds to address a number of issues with the current playing squad.

With the Premier League title already out of reach, Liverpool could be tempted to cash in on Gravenberch now and use the funds to strengthen across the board.

It would take a lot to get Ryan Gravenberch out of Anfield, but the massive fee being offered by Real Madrid could be enough for Liverpool to consider the sale.
