Pep Lijnders urges Liverpool to send message to doubters v Arsenal

Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders has urged the Reds to send a message to the doubters tonight and win the second leg of the EFL Cup tie with Arsenal to ensure progression to the final.

The Reds take on the Gunners tonight at the Emirates with the tie currently level at 0-0 after a below par performance from them at Anfield last week.

There's still opportunity to win this tie outright, though, and that will be the plan tonight as Lijnders has told the players to go and silence any doubters:

Liverpool copped a bit of flak against the Gunners last week with them unable to score against a side with ten men.

That can sometimes happen, though, as they became very defensive and hopefully this is a more open game.
