No coming back for star as Liverpool ready to ACCEPT offers
Liverpool are ready to 'yes' to permanent offers for one of their cup winners. The Reds will say goodbye to more stars in 2026.
Liverpool had a busy 2025 as they sold over £200m in players and then spent over £400m on new signings. They wanted to overhaul the squad and it was a summer transfer window unlike anything we've seen before.
But the job isn't done. Liverpool have gaps in the squad still and will look to make signings when the window re-opens in January.
There will be sales, too, as the Reds didn't entirely move on everyone they planned to this year. A few players decided not to take permanent deals, for instance, and that simply postponed their future.
Liverpool, though, haven't really changed their plans. At least one player who was up for sale in 2025 will again be on the market in 2026.
The club are already planning to accept offers.
Kostas Tsimikas to leave
Kostas Tsimikas was a bit-part player last season, appearing in only 18 Premier League matches. Only nine of those were starts, too.
Liverpool then went and signed Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth and while it did look like Andy Robertson might leave at one stage, he ultimately stuck around. That made it impossible for Tsimikas to stay and he was immediately up for sale.
However, Tsimikas rejected permanent moves. He instead opted for a loan move to AS Roma - one that isn't really working out for him.
The Greek left-back will return to Liverpool in the summer but the Athletic reports that they're already planning to accept offers. There is no chance of a comeback, then, and Tsimikas will surely leave permanently in 2026.
He'll forever have a place in history, of course. Tsimikas won the Premier League, League Cup and FA Cup, with the latter being his - he stepped up for the winning penalty against Chelsea, after all.
