We're getting to the point where the fans are feeling a little bit spoilt by the recruitment business.

All the dream-like scenarios that are posted on social media are actually coming true. The Reds have always been a club to lay their stall out and take a hard stance, but this summer has been different.

Transfer fees have become a little inflated and Liverpool are taking full advantage, getting significant amounts out of negotiations for the potential that players are showing and just in case they happen to succeed in future, the Reds are set to benefit from the transfer long into the future as well.

We've seen countless examples and this latest one is the gift that keeps on giving, it's unbelievable.

Doak to Bournemouth was a GENIUS move

Let's quickly run through some examples of deals Liverpool have completed this summer that are remarkable in their own way, but won't quite match up Richard Hughes' latest feat.

Jarell Quansah to Leverkusen for £35m broke the German clubs' transfer record which should tell you plenty about how good a deal it was. A sell-on clause for close to £60m was embedded in the deal, which will be something to consider in a few years once he's developed more, and even if he doesn't return, his transfer fee might single-handedly cover the costs for Marc Guehi to join us.

Then you've got Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich for £65m, which is £35m more than the Germans received for Kingsley Coman, even though the Frenchman is exactly the same age as Diaz. There is also a rumour suggesting that a significant sell-on clause might also have been agreed to on the basis that a move to Saudi Arabia in the future might prove to be quite fruitful in terms of a fee.

And the latest deal was for Tyler Morton to join Lyon for £15m despite the midfielder rarely ever playing senior football for Liverpool. A 20% sell-on clause was added in that deal and since the French club are known for their high-value sales, Liverpool could benefit in a future move for him.

This brings me back to Ben Doak, who sold for £25m despite never making a goal contribution for the senior team in a competitive match. He's still just 19-years-old and so the potential was there for Bournemouth to take a gamble on, but the fee they've agreed to pay is sizeable, let's be honest.

And now according to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds went one better in securing a buy-back clause to 'keep future control on the player' which means he could quite easily make a return to Anfield soon.

Doak's talent as a direct winger is huge, dribbling at players and taking them on. It's an ability that we need to see more of in the modern game and he's proven that he can be a difference-maker.

As such, letting him go without a buy-back clause would've been a risk, since he might easily go on to succeed in the Premier League. Having the first opportunity to move for him is essential. He, alongside Quansah, is one of the best academy products we've produced and letting them go permanently wasn't going to be an option, but agreeing such a deal must've taken a lot of work.

Of course, it will cost the Reds if they want to bring him back to Anfield, but it's a discounted rate since we've already been given £25m to spend on him again, if need be. In essence, it's a loan agreement, forcing Bournemouth to be constantly aware that they might lose him in future.
