The Colombian has been fantastic, even if his stretches of good form come in bursts. But 13 Premier League goals and another five assists, a UEFA Champions League hattrick, and another in the EFL Cup have contributed to a brilliant campaign.

Not to mention the fact he's also played two different positions for Liverpool. That's far from routine, especially under a new head coach and in a side still trying to find itself.

Of course, that team that was still trying to find itself also ran away with the league title. Diaz was a big part of that - his ability to play centrally helped Arne Slot immeasurably.

But Diaz's future is also in question. The forward has two years remaining on his Liverpool contract and the Reds haven't really tried to give him a new one.

Now 28, this is essentially the last summer where both Liverpool and Diaz can secure a big payday. And it appears one is on the way.

Luis Diaz's big payday

Fabrizio Romano is one of many claiming that Al-Nassr are about to make a major offer for Diaz. He tops their shortlist as part of an 'ambitious' plan this summer.

"Al Nassr consider Luis Diaz as one of their main targets for the summer window to re-start with ambitious plan," Romano wrote on Twitter.

"Barcelona have also Luis Diaz on the list, but it depends on financial request by Liverpool."

This one could be massive. Liverpool will want a huge fee for Diaz, possibly approaching £80m for a player who played a key role for them.

But the Reds are also setup to sell here. The two years remaining on his contract means this is the final summer in which Liverpool can demand a fee like that.

It all points to an exit and with a major Saudi side hoping to do business, everyone could be about to bank a lot of money here. And that happens to be exactly what Liverpool need as they look to fund an overhaul of their attack.
