Liverpool could now be closer to signing a dream attacker for Arne Slot.

The Reds will not stop at signing Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez, Richard Hughes is also on a mission to bolster Liverpool's attacking options.

But for that he first must offload some of the Reds' current stars. This includes the likes of Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa, who both quite obviously do not have a long-term future at Anfield.

Once Liverpool have negotiated a fee for both of them that is reasonable, Hughes can start to explore his options in the market.

What is clear is that the Reds will be looking for a versatile and young striker, someone who can play in a few different positions and who will fit nicely alongside the likes of Mo Salah and the aforementioned Wirtz.

For that purpose, there is a dream option for Liverpool and he could soon become available. Especially if the Reds decide to offload one of their own.

Another player who faces an uncertain future at Liverpool is Harvey Elliott. The boyhood fan of the Reds has had a brilliant few years at the club but he seems to have fallen in the pecking order under Slot.

Elliott will now be looking to leave this summer in search of more opportunities and it seems like Brighton could be a possible destination for him.

According to Nicolo Schira, Brighton have opened talks with Liverpool. This comes alongside Brighton's interest in Malick Fofana as per ESPN.

While Elliott can play as a no.10, he's also a right-winger and Fofana while predominantly playing on the left has also played on the right-wing.

Signing both of them would be very interesting for Liverpool. In fact there is a way Liverpool could move one step closer to signing the perfect attacker from Brighton, having now opened talks for Elliott.

Selling Elliott after all could pave the way for Brighton being more open to parting ways with Yankuba Minteh. The Gambian international has been sensational in the Premier League since arriving at the club, and he's tailor-made for Slot's style of play.

It's no coincidence that Minteh thrived under Slot the season prior, making his mark at Feyenoord.

That connection makes him an ideal addition. But what makes him an even better profile for Liverpool and arguably a dream attacker is the fact that he can play in every role in the front three.

Under Slot at Feyenoord, Minteh was used as a right-winger most of the time, but he was occasionally put on the left-wing and even played centrally as a nine.

This is exactly the type of attacker Liverpool are looking for. Right now, Brighton will be reluctant to sell Minteh because they will know he is a prized asset.

However, with Elliott and Fofana coming in, the situation changes and Liverpool could move a step closer to signing the young winger, who was already on their radar last summer.
