Liverpool weigh up surprise EXIT for super talent

Liverpool are weighing up a surprise loan exit in the winter window. The Reds will reshuffle when they get the chance.

Liverpool will look to shake things up once again in the winter window. Though, we can't imagine that was the plan after spending £400m in the summer.

The club almost certainly felt they had the squad set for the season but results say otherwise. There will undoubtedly be some sort of shakeup again once the window reopens - it's just about what changes.

Defenders are needed after Giovanni Leoni's injury and Ibrahima Konate's uncertain future. Similarly, they'll look at wingers after failing to replace Luis Diaz after his move to Bayern Munich.

Rio Ngumoha was supposed to take that role in the squad but his minutes have been limited. In fact, Arne Slot's reluctance to turn to youth players could see some changes in January.

Trey Nyoni to depart?

The Athletic reports that Trey Nyoni could leave Liverpool on loan in January. The 18-year-old was included in the Reds’ first-team squad for this season but hasn’t had opportunities come his way.

Nyoni’s only appearances have come in the Carabao Cup and neither were particularly impressive. Though, virtually no one managed to impress in those games.

And so Liverpool will consider finding him important minutes at a different club. The report claims that they’ll have a look at their midfield options and if there aren’t any injuries, Nyoni will be allowed to depart.

Finding the right loan for him will be tricky, though. Nyoni is entirely untested as a regular senior player and clubs playing well won’t be very keen to add him mid-season.

But we struggle to see how he’ll perform in a struggling team with his lack of experience. It’s a difficult one and Liverpool must find the right balance if they’re to go through with this.

Nyoni is a massive talent and one of the brightest at the club. Liverpool, though, face some tough decisions if they’re to help him realise his potential.
