Liverpool are reportedly making it clear that one Liverpool star will stay at the club this summer. That's despite a complex contract situation.

Journalist Franco Leonetti claims Liverpool will not sell Alisson Becker this summer and are making clubs aware of that. They're going to hold the goalkeeper to his contract, which runs until 2027.

Well, technically is runs until June. Liverpool have an option in the deal to extend it for one more year and it's entirely expected that they'll do just that.

The situation has led to the likes of Juventus feeling there may be a chance that the Reds sell this summer, just to get a fee. Giorgi Mamardashvili is there to take over, after all.

But it seems that won't be the case. Liverpool will keep Alisson.

“Regarding Alisson, the English club are saying that they would like to respect his contract until June 2027," Leonetti told Radio Bianconera, via TuttoMercatoWeb.

Alisson Becker: Situation Summary

Injury Setback and Champions League Absence

Alisson was a late omission from Liverpool's squad for the Champions League round-of-16 first leg against Galatasaray yesterday, 10 March. He reportedly felt discomfort during a training session on Monday, leading the medical staff to keep him in Merseyside as a precaution. Arne Slot has suggested the injury is minor, noting there is a "definite chance" he returns for the Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend. In his absence, Giorgi Mamardashvili made his first appearance in two months.

Contract Status and Transfer Interest

Alisson’s current contract runs until June 2027, following an extension signed in 2021. While he remains a cornerstone of the squad, Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan have reportedly identified him as a primary summer target. Reports from Italy suggest Juventus views him as an elite solution to their goalkeeping concerns, potentially reuniting him with former coach Luciano Spalletti. However, Fabrizio Romano recently indicated that Alisson intends to see out the remaining year of his deal at Anfield, and Liverpool are expected to block any summer approaches.

Performance Metrics

In the 2025/26 campaign, Alisson has made 32 appearances, maintaining his status as one of the world's elite shot-stoppers despite criticism of his distribution following a recent error against Wolves. Statistically, he has kept 12 clean sheets across all competitions, playing over 2,800 minutes of football this term.
