Agent speaks of ‘dreams’ as Liverpool line up blockbuster deal
One Premier League star is being lined up by Liverpool for a blockbuster transfer. His agent has openly talked about the ‘dreams’ of a major move.
Liverpool will soon reenter the transfer market as more work is to be done. The Reds, despite spending over £450m in the summer, are still quite light in various roles.
Centre-back is one of those. Liverpool tried to add Marc Guehi to their squad, only for Crystal Palace to collapse the deal. They've since lost Giovanni Leoni to injury - something that surely forces them to sign someone in the winter.
But that's not all. Liverpool also need to think about their right flank, where Mo Salah is the only proper forward who can play on that side.
The Reds not only need to think about backup to the Egyptian but also a successor. He'll only have one more year left after this season, after all.
It appears Liverpool may have found the player they want, though. He won't be cheap - but it sounds like he's open to the move.
Yankuba Minteh to Liverpool
Liverpool reportedly have their eyes on Yankuba Minteh heading into 2026. The Gambian has been fantastic since joining Brighton and now the likes of Footy-Africa claim the Reds will push for a transfer.
365Scores also claims that. They say that Liverpool's interest is 'serious' as they seek a new winger. Anthony Gordon and Antoine Semenyo are also on their list.
But the outlet also carry quotes from Minteh's agent, Bakary Bojang. He refuses to comment on an actual transfer but it sure to point out that the winger dreams of playing at a higher level.
“Yankuba is happy at Brighton at the moment," says Bojang. "He’s playing regularly and developing well, so he’s in the right place right now.”
“I can’t comment on any rumours at this point, out of respect for both the player and the clubs involved.
“However, as you know, every ambitious player dreams of competing at the highest level and playing for the biggest clubs in the world.”
It sounds like, from the player's side at least, a deal can be done. Though, we can't imagine Brighton would sell on the cheap - it'll take a large offer to get the player, who continues to shine in the Premier League at just 21.
