Liverpool have been tipped to further improve their forward options in transfer windows upcoming.

Despite adding Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz to the ranks over the summer - at considerable cost - there is a sense that sporting director Richard Hughes isn’t quite done yet. We’ve seen links with wingers on BOTH sides of the attack.

On the left-wing Cody Gakpo has made the position his own in the absence of any senior competition but could come under pressure for his place due to the Anfield club’s activity in the transfer market.

And question marks persist over Mohamed Salah - where it remains to be seen if the Egyptian King has entered an inexorable decline.

Liverpool chasing Yan Diomande

The top contenders to replace Gakpo and Salah appear to be Michael Olise and Antoine Semenyo. Olise, 23, is under contract at Bayern Munich until 2029 and the Bavarians are keen to secure a renewal amid Liverpool’s interest.

Semenyo, meanwhile, can play both sides and the 25-year-old could be available for £75m. But the Merseysiders are also interested in a much younger wide forward - according to a new report in Defensa Central.

The Madrid-based media outlet has been detailing Real’s interest in RB Leipzig hotshot Yan Diomande.

The Ivory Coast international - who has scored two goals in his first two games for his national side since making his debut earlier this month - transferred to the Bundesliga side last summer.

RB Leipzig value Diomande at €100m

He cost around €20m - his buyout clause - when Leipzig acquired his services from Leganes in Spain. Madrid may well be regretting their decision not to pursue the United States-educated wide man - considering Leipzig already value him at €100m.

In the report on Madrid’s interest it is revealed that Diomande is also on the shopping list for Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.

“Competition for his signature has grown, with clubs like Liverpool and PSG chasing him, and, above all, his price has skyrocketed,” the report reads.

“In fact, in Germany, they've already indicated his value is 100 million.”

Yan Diomande is MAGICAL

The winger - who prefers the left side of the attack - has yet to register a goal or an assist in the German top flight but has got off the mark in the DFB Pokal.

Described as “magical” by a report in Germany, Diomande is an electrifying one-on-one dribbler.

Diomande is definitely a star of the future given his rapid rise - and it remains to be seen whether Richard Hughes sanctions another big-money deal for a Bundesliga forward.
