Real Madrid want Roberto Firmino

AS reports that Real Madrid have their eyes on Roberto Firmino. The Brazilian is leaving Al-Ahly this year after joining them back in 2023.

Reports link him strongly with a move to Brazil, where Firmino never actually played top-flight football. But it appears Real Madrid could try and snap him up.

They're after a new centre-forward to support their current options. A new Joselu, basically.

Firmino could be exactly that - a hugely-experienced striker who's happy to play a backup role. And he's free. We all know how much Real Madrid love that.

And so he could, potentially, join Alexander-Arnold under Xabi Alonso next season. It seems Real Madrid do have their eyes on other options, including Osasuna's Ante Budimir, but Firmino is one to watch.
