Then came the news that the Premier League champions were making themselves heard for Eduardo Conceicao - a highly-gifted 16-year-old youth-team player.

It remains to be seen what happens on either of those deals - but ESPN in Brazil is now claiming that the Reds are interested in a deal for a THIRD young Palmeiras star.

The elegant attacker’s name is now being heard in the offices of top clubs across Europe - with Parma and Paris Saint-Germain also claimed to be in the running for his signature.

Bids of around €20m have been reported for Bele - who is under contract with his boyhood club until 2028. However the report states that Palmeiras will only talk about an outbound deal for double that amount - €40m which is worth around £35m.

“Erick Belé is being targeted by clubs such as Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Parma,” the report reads.

“Teams are signaling offers in the region of 20 million euros (almost R$ 120 million) for the promising player.

“However, Palmeiras is considering double that, 40 million euros, almost R$ 240 million for Erick Belé, in addition to giving the youngster more playing time in the first team.”

Erick Bele: Situation summary

Erick Belé is a 19-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder/forward at Palmeiras, regarded internally as one of the standout talents of his generation at the club’s academy.

A left-footer around 1.81–1.84m, he has progressed through Palmeiras’ youth ranks since 2018, winning domestic youth titles at multiple age groups and breaking into the U20s and Brazil’s U20 setup.

His profile blends technique and physicality: he operates mainly as a central creator or second striker, comfortable receiving between the lines, linking play and attacking the box, with an eye for goals evidenced by a prolific 2023 at U17 level (20 in 38).

Palmeiras extended his contract to run to 2028, underlining both their belief in his upside and their intent to control his next move and price point.

In the short term he should consolidate minutes with Palmeiras’ first team and Brazil’s youth sides, with European interest likely to build if he translates youth end product to senior level; any move before 2027 would almost certainly require a significant fee and a clear development pathway from the buying club.
