Liverpool open talks for €30m Trent Alexander-Arnold replacement
Liverpool are taking steps to move on from Trent Alexander-Arnold. The right-back announced last week that he would be leaving the club following the expiry of his contract in summer 2025.
Real Madrid are widely tipped to sign the England international, with the possibility of adding him in time for the FIFA Club World Cup pending negotiations over a nominal fee.

The 26-year-old felt the full wrath of Anfield on Sunday - being roundly booed when he replaced Conor Bradley during the second half.
Bradley, 21, is a contender to be given the right-back role on a regular basis when Trent leaves.

However, considering the Northern Ireland international’s record injury record, sporting director Richard Hughes and head coach Arne Slot are conducting their due diligence for potential candidates to come into the club.
We’ve seen links to Wesley Franca and Lutsharel Geertruida - as well as current Feyenoord star Givairo Read.
Liverpool linked with Frimpong
The most prominent transfer talk involved Jeremie Frimpong - the 24-year-old Dutchman who won the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen last season.
Last week it emerged that Frimpong had a very achievable release clause in his contract - and that he would be in favour of an Anfield move.
There is another contender emerging however with Goal Brasil claiming that the Reds have opened talks with intermediaries for Monaco right-back Vanderson.
The 23-year-old moved to the Principality side from Gremio in 2022 for around €11 million and could go for €30m in this summer’s transfer market.
Liverpool enquire over Vanderson
“Monaco right-back Vanderson has been contacted by Liverpool in recent days,” a report reads.
“The current Premier League champions have consulted intermediaries in search of more information about the Brazilian, who has gained prominence this European season.”

Vanderson is under contract with Monaco until 2028 and has played 40 times for his club this season. He has provided five assists this term - including two in a Champions League victory against Barcelona.
