Unbeatable £87m offer is coming for Liverpool's ideal midfielder
Change is coming to Liverpool’s midfield - likely to happen in the summer transfer window.
Arne Slot has been relying on the same core of midfield options for the past two seasons and there are major doubts surrounding certain stars.
Wataru Endo is injured and not expected to play again this season. Furthermore the 33-year-old could be sold by Richard Hughes in the off-season if a suitable offer is made.
Curtis Jones could also be on his way out the door. Like Endo he is out of contract in 2027 but no breakthrough has been made over a new deal.
Accordingly the Premier League champions may look to offload the England man if the club cannot come to terms over an extension.
Reds to make unbeatable offer for Camavinga
That would open up a sizeable gap in Arne Slot’s midfield - and a dream signing could be made in the shape of Eduardo Camavinga.
The 23-year-old is contracted to Real Madrid until 2029 - having first signed for the Bernabeu club in 2021. The France international has won two Champions League titles in that time - but the writing appears to be on the wall for his career at the Spanish giants.
Camavinga has only made 11 league starts this season under Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa - and could be sacrificed to make way for new faces.
He’s been in Liverpool’s thoughts for several transfer windows - with recruiters sure to be impressed by his ability to play defensive midfield, No8 and even left-back.
Bid worth €100m incoming
Now a report in Fichajes claims that the Anfield side are readying an “unbeatable” offer for the former Rennes prodigy. Richard Hughes will bid up to £87m for the left-footer in an attempt to convince Madrid to do a deal.
“The club that has made the most decisive move is Liverpool, prepared to offer €100 million,” the report claims.
“A figure that those close to Real Madrid consider difficult to ignore, especially given the player's current form.”
He hasn’t been at his consistent best this season but is still regarded as one of the finest midfield talents in Europe.
Camavinga’s signing could unlock Ryan Gravenberch - allowing him to flourish further up the field - or else provide an alternative to Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
