Star's THREAT should force Liverpool transfer
Liverpool should almost guarantee themselves a transfer after a star's latest threat. The Reds are firmly in this race.
Liverpool are hitting unprecedented levels of getting business done. The Reds have already signed three players this summer, have at least one more due to join next week, and two have left the club.

Florian Wirtz is the headline. The German playmaker shocked everyone by choosing Liverpool over Bayern Munich and Manchester City, officially signing for the Reds on Friday.
He joins teammate Jeremie Frimpong at Anfield, along with goalkeeper Armin Pecsi. It's an incredible start to the summer for Liverpool, who have strengthened their squad considerably before the end of June.
And now it appears that they can guarantee themselves another transfer after a new threat.

Marc Guehi pushes for move
Liverpool are in the market for Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi. The England star is highly-valued by the Eagles, who would hate to lose him.
However, Guehi is now entering the final year of his contract. It puts Palace under incredible pressure to sell, given they'll lose him for free at the end of the season.
Talksport is among those reporting that Guehi is happy to see out his contract, too. He's feeling patient, willing to wait until he's a free agent if that's what it takes.
Essentially, he's telling Palace that he won't renew his deal. They must sell in this window if they're to get anything for their captain - a situation Liverpool found themselves in with Trent Alexander-Arnold last summer.
He ultimately did lose for free but Liverpool had the financial power to withstand such a loss. Palace might not and Guehi being willing to wait should be enough to force a transfer this summer.
What that transfer might cost is anyone's guess. Palace rejected £65m a year ago from Newcastle United but there's no chance anyone is paying that with season to go on his contract.

We'll have to wait and see how much pressure this puts on Palace, then. But it feels like enough to force through that move to Liverpool.
