Confirmed Liverpool talks ready to DOMINATE the summer
Liverpool are ready to enter massive talks over a contract. The kind of talks that could absolutely dominate the summer.
This is an enormous summer for Liverpool. The Reds want to capitalise on winning the Premier League by rejuvenating their squad - a huge risk for any team.

After all, this is the best squad in the country right now. The idea of tearing it up - or at least swapping out vital parts of it - is usually reserved for teams where things aren’t quite going to plan.
But Liverpool feel there’s a lot more to come from life with Arne Slot. The Dutchman has been a revelation and so they’re eager to give him his ‘own’ squad.
This is Jurgen Klopp’s group of players, after all. The fact Slot took it on and instantly won the league is an absolutely ridiculous achievement, quite honestly. Time to see what he can do with a squad built for his own style of play.
If you’re going to overhaul your squad, there are two things that must happen. The right players must arrive and the right players must leave - though not usually in that order.
Liverpool have some major decisions to make, then, and one will come immediately after this season.

Liverpool to enter Luis Diaz contract talks
Sky Sports reports that Liverpool will enter contract talks with Luis Diaz as soon as the season is done. The Colombian remains on the initial deal he signed when joining the Reds in 2022 - an unusual case at Anfield.
Liverpool typically reward players over the course of their time at the club with extensions and pay bumps. Diaz has never received either and talks earlier this season failed to suit both sides.
They’ll now try again, with everything boosted by Diaz’s late-season form. And you shouldn’t underestimate just how massive these talks are.
If they fail, Liverpool will almost certainly try to sell Diaz. He has two years left on his contract, meaning this is the final year where the Reds could get ‘maximum’ value for him.
They also won’t want to head into next season with an unhappy player - not when plenty of new signings are expected. That’s not how you generate a good club culture.
Selling Diaz would then transform the summer plans. Liverpool also want a striker, after all, and now they’d be trying to retool a significant chunk of their attack.
It means buying players who fit together, which isn’t an easy task when you’ve seen neither play for the club. That’s a complicated process - do you buy before selling Diaz? Do you buy a striker before you know if you’re replacing Diaz?
Re-signing the Colombian fixes that and makes the entire situation a lot smoother. Suddenly, Liverpool wouldn’t be integrating an extra player up top. They know exactly what they’re working with when it comes to Diaz and can sign the right striker accordingly.
There’d be more certainty, happier players, and genuine continuity in the attack. But that’s all only good if Liverpool don’t believe they can upgrade on Diaz.
These talks, then, could change everything and will dominate Liverpool’s summer plans. They could stop the Reds needing two major signings up top or they could create incredible uncertainty and necessitate a near-total rebuild.
