Liverpool have the door open wide for a potentially massive deal this summer. The Reds are dominating the market right now.

Liverpool are closing in on deals for several players at the moment. Jeremie Frimpong should be announced any moment now, while Florian Wirtz may follow him from Bayer Leverkusen.

Then it's also reported that Milos Kerkez is on the agenda and that things are progressing nicely there. A striker is also wanted - and that could cost Liverpool an awful lot of money.

Fortunately, there are also several outgoing transfers being worked on. Caoimhin Kelleher may depart shortly, while Darwin Nunez is consistently linked with an exit and it sounds as though that's moving along.

Liverpool certainly won't stop there, though. Luis Diaz is in line to leave and it appears the Reds have left the door wide open.

Luis Diaz to Al-Nassr

It's being reported in several places now that Luis Diaz is wanted by Al-Nassr. This follows on from an Anfield Watch exclusive back in February on the matter.

Things are now gathering pace. The Times claims Al-Nassr have Diaz firmly on their shortlist and reports elsewhere suggest the price could reach €80m.

Interestingly, though, The Times' report makes it clear that Liverpool are welcoming interest. Not directly but through inaction.

The Reds have not made any move to extend Diaz's contract, which has two years left to run. He remains on his initial contract signed back in 2022 which actually makes him one of the least-paid regular first-team players.

That's despite him bagging 13 Premier League goals this season and providing another five assists. Diaz will naturally entertain an exit if Liverpool aren't going to pay him.

But no new contract would make this the final summer in which Liverpool can secure 'full' value for the Colombian. He'll have just one year remaining in 2026, naturally driving his price downwards.

The lack of contract talks, then, suggests Liverpool are comfortable with a sale. There's really no other way to take it.

Now, that doesn't mean Liverpool will sell but the door is open to a big sale - something a new contract would rule out. Watch this space: something mega might be about to happen.
