Has there been a busier club than Liverpool this summer? We haven't crunched the numbers for everyone but it's difficult to imagine someone could be busier than this.

Liverpool have already signed four players you can expect to watch next season. Florian Wirtz is the new record signing, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez are the new full-backs, while Armin Pecsi arrives as one for the future.

And that's on top of Trent Alexander-Arnold leaving for Real Madrid and Caoimhin Kelleher joining Brentford. It's been busy, busy, busy.

There's even more to come, though. Liverpool still want to reshape this squad further, with both incomings and outgoings.

Everyone should expect more deals, then - and it appears we've had one confirmed today.

Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen

Fabrizio Romano moved to confirm Liverpool's £30m deal with Bayer Leverkusen on Monday. They've now finalised the transfer, sending the young defender to Germany.

There are apparently £5m in add-ons available to the Reds, while they retain a buy-back clause. That clause only comes into effect from 2027 and will cost Liverpool around €60m.

We all expected this one, of course. Quansah was booked in for a medical on Monday with Leverkusen, who were waiting for the Under 21 Euros to end before signing the defender.

He'd been out there with England, who eventually defeated Germany in the final. Quansah, then, takes another medal with him to the Bundesliga.

And he'll continue to be one to watch. Liverpool have that all-important buy-back clause that could see Quansah return to Anfield down the line.

After all, he is a centre-back with enormous potential. The Reds simply don't believe he'll realise it at Liverpool but clearly believe Leverkusen could get that out of him.

If they do, Liverpool can trigger their clause to get him back - so let's see what happens. This is the end of a chapter but not necessarily the story.
