Liverpool interest confirmed in much-coveted South American forward

It’s no secret that Liverpool are scouring the market for a long-term successor to Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian King is now 33 and under contract at Anfield until the end of the 2026/27 season. But he’s widely expected to bring the curtain down on his Liverpool career this summer with teams in Saudi Arabia and the United States reported to be keen.

The likes of Yan Diomande, Michael Olise, Bradley Barcola, Desire Doue and more have been named as potential replacements.

But one player who first appeared on the list a couple of years ago is now reportedly back in favour with Reds recruiters.

“Arsenal, Liverpool and Bayern Munich hold confirmed interest in FC Midtjylland star Dario Osorio,” a report in TEAMtalk reads.

“Despite links to some of the continent’s elite clubs and confirmed interest from the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, such interest appears to remain at the monitoring stage.”

The report suggests that the Chile international could be instead set for a stepping stone club before taking the plunge with a top side.

“For now, a move to a club like West Ham, Fulham or Bournemouth seems the most plausible path forward in his career,” the report reads.

Darío Osorio: Situation summary

Darío Osorio is emerging as one of the most exciting young wide forwards in Scandinavia, a creative, goalscoring winger who looks primed for a bigger league move in the next couple of windows.

A left‑footed attacker who primarily plays off the right, Osorio offers one‑v‑one threat, ball‑striking from range and smart final‑third movement for Midtjylland.
