Liverpool move to SIGN wonderkid Sadio Mane 2.0
Liverpool have moved to sign the next big thing out of Senegal. A teenager with all the talent in the world.
Liverpool have made their move to sign Idrissa Gueye from FC Metz. Football Insider reports that an enquiry has been made from the Reds as they look to get a deal done.
Though, they're far from alone in that. The report also mentions West Ham United, Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Southampton, and Ipswich.
And those are just the English teams looking into this one. There's also interest from German and Italian clubs.
L’Equipe suggest €20m would get Metz to accept a transfer for their prodigy. But is Gueye actually worth that?

Idrissa Gueye
Gueye only turned 18 once last season had kicked off but he went on to score five times in Ligue 1 across the campaign. He added an assist to that, too.
So in limited minutes, the forward averaged a goal or assist every 180 minutes or so. It's a fantastic rate for a teenager and explains the incredible interest in him right now.
Gueye is also the next big sensationa in Senegalese football. Liverpool, of course, got the best years out of Senegal's greatest ever player: Sadio Mane.
Here's an opportunity, then, to secure the greatest of the next generation, should Gueye go on to fulfil his potential. We will say, though, that Liverpool might struggle in this race.
They're the biggest club in for Gueye without a doubt but that's not necessarily a good thing. How, for one thing, could they possibly guarantee him regular football?
Hugo Ekitike just signed from Eintracht Frankfurt while Liverpool are quite openly pushing to sign Alexander Isak. Gueye isn't playing ahead of those two and wouldn't for years.
For development, then, he may be best-suited to join someone else. But then, it's difficult to reject Liverpool and we imagine any deal would see him go out on loan somewhere.

Gueye is almost certainly cheap at €20m as 18-year-olds don't typically score five times in their debut senior season. This is one to watch, then, as Liverpool consider moving for one of Europe's biggest talents.
Rest in peace, Diogo Jota.
