Liverpool tipped to HIJACK Arsenal move for €90m-rated striker
Liverpool’s transfer priorities right now would appear to be Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez.
Wirtz, 22, looks set to become the most expensive signing in British football history - with his club Bayer Leverkusen seeking a deal worth £126m.

And Kerkez seems to be edging ever closer to Anfield as a long-term successor to Andy Robertson. Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes meanwhile opened this mini 10-day transfer period by signing Jeremie Frimpong.

It means that for the time being the Reds haven’t been chasing up their interest in a new No9. The striker position was one identified for an upgrade before the window opened - and we saw plenty of players linked.
Liverpool's No9 options diminishing
But the options are diminishing; Matheus Cunha has joined Manchester United and Liam Delap is off to Chelsea. Liverpool best not leave it too long or else their European and English rivals will swoop in ahead of them for forwards.
There are now signs however that Liverpool are ready to MUSCLE IN on a deal that Arsenal had planned in the centre-forward position. It concerns Benjamin Sesko, the RB Leipzig forward who scored 13 Bundesliga goals last season.
The Slovenian is under contract until 2029 but has been widely tipped for a Premier League move this summer.
Liverpool could move for Sesko
The Gunners are reckoned to be in the driving seat for the €90m-rated giant - but now Ben Jacobs on the Done Deal Show claims Liverpool could be making plans to hijack the deal.
“The biggest question mark will be over the number nine and if they can genuinely go for Alexander Isak,” he said.
“Will they drop the £100 million that Frankfurt are asking for Hugo Ekitike, they could even enter the race for Benjamin Sesko even though it feels like Arsenal are more advanced on that one at the moment.”
Red Bull planning big changes
22-year-old Sesko has been at Leipzig since 2023 but previously spent time at Red Bull Salzburg as well as another Red Bull outpost in Liefering.

Manchester United have also shown interest in approaching Sesko, with Red Bull set to revamp their flagship club with sales that could include Xavi Simons and Castello Lukeba.
