Fabrizio Romano has confirmed a medical as Liverpool wait for dominoes to fall. Another signing is on the way.

Liverpool are still waiting for Crystal Palace's go-ahead before pushing forward on a deal for Marc Guehi. The Reds are heavily linked with the Eagles' captain.

And for good reason. Guehi has under a year left on his Palace contract and they're determined not to lose him for free.

Liverpool, who have Ibrahima Konate in a similar situation, would like to lock Guehi down now a year early. It's a signing that could then lead to Joe Gomez departing the club for AC Milan.

But Palace are in a difficult spot. They do want to get a fee for Guehi but they want to sign a replacement first - or at least, head coach Oliver Glasner does.

And it appears they might have one.

Igor set for medical

Palace are on the brink of signing Igor from Brighton. It's a somewhat controversial deal, given the rivalry between the two clubs, but Fabrizio Romano confirms things are agreed.

"Understand Igor is undergoing his medical at Crystal Palace right now!" he writes on Twitter.

"Agreement done with CPFC on loan with option to buy from Brighton.

"Here we go."

That would give Palace a defender to cover the loss of Guehi. Potentially along-term one if they enact that buy option.

But it's not the only deal they're pushing for. Palace are also striking a deal with Toulouse for Jaydee Canvot.

That would give them two centre-backs and surely allow for Guehi to leave. Liverpool are just waiting for word on all of this.

The signs are positive, though.
