Fabrizio Romano confirms attacker's PRIORITY as contact made for transfer
Liverpool are planning to overhaul their attacking options during the summer transfer window. Florian Wirtz is clearly the priority right now with the club fighting to agree a deal with Bayer Leverkusen.
The playmaker is valued at £126m by his club, but the Reds have yet to indicate that they are willing to meet that asking price.

Liverpool have submitted a renewed bid for the 22-year-old, reported by several sources to be £100m plus £13m in potential add-ons.

After Wirtz is completed, focus will then turn to outgoings. There are question marks over plenty of the Reds’ current squad members - and we could see the likes of Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez leave if the right bids are made.
Chiesa tipped for Liverpool exit
On the wings too big changes are expected with Ben Doak and Luis Diaz among those tipped for the exit. We could also see a short spell at the club for Federico Chiesa come to an end.
The 27-year-old was the only acquisition made in last summer’s transfer window - joining from Juventus for a fee that could reach £12.5m.
But he’s only played SIX times in the Premier League - for a total of 104 minutes - and has admitted that he’s ready to consider his future.
“The year is over. But it’s an experience I would do again,” the winger is reported to have told Corriere dello Sport this week.
“Soon I will sit down at the table with the club, (my agent) Fali (Ramadani) and my family to find the best solution. I wouldn’t mind staying in Liverpool at all.”
Chiesa wants to return to Italy
There are numerous teams in Serie A said to be interested in signing Chiesa - with Napoli and AC Milan among the leading candidates.
And now it’s been claimed by Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano that Chiesa wants a return to his home country.
“Understand Federico Chiesa’s priority for this summer transfer window is to return to Italy,” he wrote on X.
“Chiesa loves Liverpool but limited game time an issue and Italian clubs started contacts to be informed on potential deal conditions.”

One complicating factor in previous attempts to bring Chiesa home has been his salary.
Reportedly on £120k per week, he is out of range for most of Serie A’s clubs. However, a compromise could swiftly be reached now that Romano has revealed the player’s first choice.
