Fabrizio Romano confirms BIG Florian Wirtz update
Less than a month ago, Liverpool were barely linked with a move for Florian Wirtz, yet now we're all desperately waiting for an update on his situation, wondering why his signing isn't confirmed.
When you're unaware of the transfer window, it feels like it's flying by really quick with all sorts of deals with clubs being agreed, but progress always slows down when you're invested in a player.

Now roughly two weeks after we were told that personal terms were agreed for Wirtz, we're still yet to receive the famous 'here we go' from Fabrizio Romano and self-doubt has started to kick in.
If you're a long-term fan of Liverpool fan who is chronically online, like myself, then you might remember Nabil Fekir, a 24-year-old midfielder from Lyon who Liverpool were incredibly close to signing in 2018, although a failed medical meant that his confirmation post was never published.
Fortunately, Liverpool were able to succeed with out the Frenchman and his saga has now become a piece of the club's transfer folklore, although it's a timely reminder that nothing is ever guaranteed.
While fans might still have their doubts, Fabrizio Romano has tried give us positive updates on Wirtz.
'Medical tests can take place next week'
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the journalist said: "I can tell you that there were new contacts in the last 24-48 hours, and Liverpool are getting there for Florian. The deal is close to being done - just some final details to sort.
"The majority of the details of the transfer fee, the add-ons, the whole package - they're being sorted. So, almost there for Florian Wirtz to Liverpool. The here we go is expected soon.
"Medical tests can take place next week - that's true. Wirtz is ready. He wants to go to Liverpool."
As such, it's clear that Liverpool are on the brink and we'll get clarity in the next few days.
The fee that's been reported is €134m which can be broken down into £100m and £13m in add-ons.
Given personal terms are not an issue, it will only be the number of instalments that can be holding things up and how achievable the add-ons actually are in order for Leverkusen to receive them.
But that's it. Liverpool are on the brink of history - a club record fee while not quite breaking the all-time English transfer record.
