The next Antoine Semenyo could actually be someone from Liverpool.

Right now everyone is in the running to sign the Bournemouth attacker. It's not a complete surprise, Semenyo is a fantastic player. The way he drives at opponents and the way he is able to play with such a high intensity makes him one of the most complete attackers in the Premier League right now.

With that £65m release clause ready to be activated in the January window, it's no surprise so many clubs are now eyeing him up.

Liverpool's interest makes a lot of sense, too. Semenyo is a player who could become the ideal replacement for Luis Diaz, and who could play multiple roles across the frontline.

He can cover both wings and during his time at Bristol City and Bournemouth, he also played as a central forward or just behind the no.9, which is still a position he could play well.

A player of his quality, who gives so many options for Liverpool and only costs £65m would be an absolute bargain.

Let's wait and see what happens because it feels like the entire Premier League also wants to sign him.

But what people forget about Semenyo is his story. He is the ultimate underdog. When he was a teenager he was rejected by massive clubs, including Arsenal.

He hadn't really played academy football until he arrived at Bristol City as an 18-year-old. Then he went on loan to the National League and League Two, playing for Bath City and Newport County.

Those loans meant he was able to play for Bristol City's first-team, where he slowly established himself as one of the best young attackers in the Championship, catching Bournemouth's attention in the process.

Now it seems like Bristol City are ready to write another success story. But this time around, their next Semenyo could be from Liverpool.

According to Ian Gay a Managing Consultant and Mentor, who is well connected to Bristol City on X, the club has agreed a deal for Ranel Young to join the Championship side.

Football Insider have also confirmed Bristol City's agreement with Young.

Gay mentions how Young is seen as a similar profile to Semenyo.

He's 19-years-old and spent the majority of his academy career at Liverpool, he even sat on the bench for the first-team two times under Arne Slot but never made an appearance before being released by the club.

Young has since spent the last few months in Serbia, moving to a second division side in what was a bizarre move.

Now he's back in England and at Bristol he looks like he will be given the pathway to restore his career and make a name for himself.

Whether he can actually follow in the footsteps of Semenyo remains to be seen.
