Liverpool are set to do a lot of business this summer. One star is already preparing his move to a new city.

Liverpool are heavily involved in the transfer market this summer - both incoming and outgoing. Their first of the latter has been confirmed, of course, with Trent Alexander-Arnold leaving the club with the end of his contract.

But he’ll simply be the first of the big changeover. Jeremie Frimpong is expected to be the first incoming deal as the Reds ready themselves to trigger his release clause.

It’ll cost around €35m to do so but Frimpong has already passed his medical. It’s a formality at this stage.

The first transaction of many, then. Milos Kerkez is heavily linked with being the second as Liverpool aim to boost their options at left-back.

Florian Wirtz? He’s the dream right now. Liverpool are waiting on that one and we’ll all just have to see what happens there.

Then there are the sales. Ibrahima Konate could be off if Liverpool can’t solve his contract situation, which goes for Luis Diaz, too.

Neither, though, as the most obvious sale. Darwin Nunez takes that tag - and he’s even preparing for his big move right now.

Darwin Nunez ready to exit Liverpool

Mundo Deportivo claims Darwin Nunez is all set on his move to Atletico Madrid. It’s an interesting one, though, given the competition from Saudi Arabia.

There was a move for Nunez in January, as exclusively revealed by Anfield Watch. Liverpool rejected the offer as they didn’t want to sell mid-season - but the Uruguayan was on board with it.

Now, however, it appears he wants a move to Atletico instead. That’s despite the interest from Saudi Arabia remaining strong and an offer is expected to arrive shortly.

Nunez is supposedly so set on his move to Atletico, though, that he’s already planning his move to Madrid. It’s a big step that suggests things have moved quickly on this one.

But we do expect that to happen. Al-Hilal, one of the teams hoping to land Nunez, will want their new striker before the FIFA Club World Cup. It means Nunez’s future must be sorted fairly shortly, even if the move is to Atletico Madrid.

There’s also the question of money. Al-Hilal can offer far more than Atletico and that’s the price Liverpool would want. MD’s article mentions the €80m price - the Reds hope the fee lands around there.

Can Atletico pay that? Or even come close? We’ll see. Nunez, though, appears to believe it’s a formality.
