Club target Liverpool for £40m MEGA deal
Liverpool will have a decision to make as a club targets them for a massive £40m deal.
Liverpool may strike more deals worth more money than in any transfer window in their history this summer. The Reds aim to retool their squad, which involves shipping out plenty of players and then bringing in the ‘right’ options.

There’s a sense that Arne Slot hasn’t really had those options this season. This has been Jurgen Klopp’s squad, after all, with only Federico Chiesa arriving a new option for the Dutchman.
Of course, Chiesa has barely featured. Even if he was signed for Slot, there’s no longer any feeling that he’s the ‘right’ option.
Chiesa may well be on the list of those who leave Liverpool this summer. Darwin Nunez and Kostas Tsimikas are other reportedly on the transfer list as the Reds target new options in their positions.
And then there are those who actively want to leave - or at least, could want to leave. Ibrahima Konate is one of those as he enters the final year of his contract.
He’s not the only one.

Caoimhin Kelleher’s future
Caoimhin Kelleher has long been tipped to leave Liverpool. It was actually a surprise that he stuck around last summer, such was the interest in him.
But Alisson Becker’s injury record essentially forces Liverpool to retain a strong no.2. Kelleher has been exactly that and the Reds were loath to sell him ahead of this season.
So they didn’t. They rejected offers and held onto Kelleher, with the Irishman playing the same backup role this season.
He’s played it very well, too. That appears to have driven his price up further and generated some serious interest.
Chronicle Live claims Newcastle United have Kelleher on their shortlist as they aim for a new goalkeeper this year. He’s not the only one on that shortlist, with James Trafford also there, but Kelleher appears to be the most expensive.
They claim his price is around £40m, so Newcastle having any interest at all suggests they’re quite serious here. £40m for a goalkeeper who isn’t actually first-choice - and never has been - is quite the statement.

But Newcastle are willing. We’ll see if they ultimately land on Kelleher as their primary option but Liverpool can expect some negotiation here.
