Liverpool transfer BOMBSHELL: Midfielder approves Real Madrid move
Liverpool ended up selling plenty of Premier League title-winning talent last summer.
We saw the likes of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Jarell Quansah, Caoimhin Kelleher and Trent Alexander-Arnold all depart for pastures new.
Those stars had to make way in order for new signings - which included Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak. But one more player was subject to a transfer headhunt by Real Madrid according to a new report in Defensa Central.
It was Alexis Mac Allister, who originally signed for the Anfield club from Brighton in summer 2023.
Alexis Mac Allister gave blessing to Real Madrid move
However, as an integral member of Arne Slot’s midfield unit, Liverpool decision-makers set a prohibitively high transfer fee for the Argentina World Cup winner.
It was €150m, according to the report, and the Spanish outlet also claims that Mac Allister gave his blessing to a move to the Bernabeu.
"We won't negotiate for less than 150 million euros," was the response Liverpool gave to Real Madrid and, incidentally, also to the player, who admitted to his face that they didn't want to sell him and that they were counting on him, despite the fact that the Santa Rosa native was excited about the possibility of wearing the white shirt, something that reached the ears of Florentino Pérez and José Ángel Sánchez,” the report reads.
Madrid back out of Alexis deal
However, it looks like Liverpool can rest easy for now - as Madrid have no intention of reactivating their interest in the 26-year-old.
That’s according to another fresh report - this one from Fichajes - which details the 15-time European champions’ concerns about his current form.
“Alexis Mac Allister's slump at the start of the season has made him a forgotten name on Real Madrid's radar, which has abandoned the idea of signing him as a priority to strengthen its midfield,” the report reads.
Of course Liverpool would like Macca back to his best and he impressed in Argentina’s recent friendly against Puerto Rico - scoring twice in a 6-0 win. For now it looks like Madrid have abandoned their interest - with Mac Allister’s contract expiring in 2028.

The Spanish outlet are deluded if we are to believe every thing that comes from the outlet Liverpool would not have a team as half the team have supposedly moving to Madrid.
