Liverpool about to receive MASSIVE approach
Liverpool are to be given a major decision to make as they're set to receive a massive approach from a European giant.
Liverpool have a massive summer ahead - though, they're trying to get the difficult bits done early. The Reds have already confirmed Jeremie Frimpong as their first summer signing and they won't stop there.

A deal is in the works for his Bayer Leverkusen teammate, Florian Wirtz. That promises to be one of the biggest transfers of the summer and likely the biggest.
Liverpool are on course to break the English transfer record for Wirtz, in fact. It will be the first time they've done that since 1995.
The club has plans beyond that, too. Milos Kerkez is wanted at left-back, while the Reds could also move for a high-profile striker to replace Darwin Nunez.
While there is enough money at the club to focus on all of this, Liverpool will need to sell players to make it all happen. Nunez is certainly one of those, while Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to depart, too.
Then there's Luis Diaz and what's becoming an increasingly complicated situation.

Luis Diaz's future
Diaz has two years remaining on his Liverpool contract and it's looking unlikely that it's renewed. That leaves the Reds with two options, of course.
They could hold onto the Colombian for another two years, essentially giving them the rest of his prime. Or they could sell Diaz, with this being the final year that Liverpool can secure 'full' value for him.
That simply won't happen with one year left on his contract, as is the scenario in 2026. But Diaz himself will almost certainly want a move away if Liverpool aren't renewing that deal.
He remains on the initial contract signed in 2022. This is also really the final chance for Diaz to secure a big-money deal somewhere - but 'where' is looking complex right now.
There's interest from Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia but Mundo Deportivo now reports that Barcelona have settled on Diaz as a priority target. He's the one they want over Marcus Rashford and Nico Williams.
Whether they can actually afford Diaz is another matter but Barcelona are set to approach Liverpool for the player. There can be little question, though, that Al-Nassr would provide a bigger fee.

It may simply come down to what Diaz wants, then. If it's elite football at Barcelona, Liverpool may not secure a big of a fee as they'd like.
