An exciting winger confirmed he's ready to join Liverpool after yet another special performance.

Liverpool are heading into a crucial rebuild in the wide areas, and the need for reinforcements has now become impossible to ignore.

With Mo Salah confirming he will leave at the end of the season, the club are losing their most reliable attacking outlet - a player who has consistently delivered goals, assists, and match-winning moments.

That alone would demand a major response in the transfer market but the situation is even more pressing when you factor in that Luis Díaz was sold last summer and never properly replaced.

For months now, Liverpool have been operating without natural depth in wide positions, often relying on makeshift solutions or players being used out of their best roles when Salah or Cody Gakpo are not available.

The result has been an attack that lacks balance, unpredictability, and consistent threat from both flanks. Opponents have found it easier to contain Liverpool, knowing there are fewer players capable of stretching the game or winning individual duels.

Bringing in just one winger won’t be enough to fix this. Liverpool need at least two high-quality additions - players who can provide pace, creativity, and end product.

If the club are serious about remaining competitive at the highest level, addressing both flanks is no longer optional. It’s essential.

And one of the most perfect options is currently playing in Portugal.

Normally, when it comes to signing attackers from the Portuguese league, you should not really entertain the idea if you're Liverpool. Unless, of course, that player is a massive outlier.

Diaz was one of these players. Darwin Nunez was another one, who does not get the credit he deserves for the career he had at Anfield.

The club's former sporting director, Julian Ward, who is still employed by Liverpool is well aware of the market and he should now be well aware of the next special superstar in Portugal - Oskar Pietuszewski.

He's 17-years-old. Incredibly, fast and direct and has six goal contributions in his first 453 minutes for Porto since arriving in the January window.

That is an average of a goal or assist every 75 minutes, which is an incredible rate for any attacker but especially for someone so young.

Pietuszewski is only a few months younger than Rio Ngumoha but he already has over 60 first team appearances for Polish side Jagiellonia and Porto combined.

He was signed by Porto in the January window and he's started very well in a similar fashion to Diaz.

He's a great one vs one winger, who loves to play on the left-wing. But what is really eye-catching about Pietuszewski is his desire and work-rate.

Like Diaz, he is a relentless runner who loves to press high and also track back to help out his full-back and defence.

In a crunch game against Benfica, he won an incredible four tackles and so far he averages 7.57 defensive duels per 90 for Porto - which is an incredibly high volume for an attacker.

Now he's stepping up on the international stage for Poland as well and his latest outing definitely confirmed he's ready for the step-up at a club like Liverpool.

Pietuszewski made his senior debut for his country against Albania in a crucial World Cup play=off. Poland were 1-0 down before he came on at half-time and swung the game in their balance, with his speed and directness.

In total he won five out of six ground duels and caused constant problems for Albania.

This is exactly the type of player Liverpool need and the Reds have been linked with him recently. They should absolutely have him on their radar this summer. He's that good, he's ready to join now.

Pietuszewski is the kind of Polish talent never before seen. He's already got so much experience for a player of his age and he's now scoring incredible goals in huge matches between Porto and Benfica.

With his work-rate, technical ability and his speed, he has the potential to go very far.

Knowing the type of attackers Liverpool go for, they will be watching his progress very closely.

And given how there is room for more reinforcements on the left-wing and in attack in the coming years, they will ultimately have to sign him.

Pietuszewski has the potential to become a generational player, even better than Diaz.
