Nothing will ever be the same. It's impossible to fathom Liverpool without Jota. Let alone a world without Jota.

Tributes for the club's fan favourite and his brother have been flooding in, with thousands leaving flowers and scarves outside Anfield in remembrance.

It's difficult to conceive at this point how Liverpool could possibly play another game of football. All such matters feel futile and secondary.

At this moment in time, Liverpool are set to take on Crystal Palace in the Community Shield on August 10th. As per the BBC, the FA are expected to hold a tribute for Jota at Wembley.

But officials from within the FA are expected to open a dialogue with Liverpool before organising any such tribute and will seek the club's council on just exactly how to go about it.

It is claimed the FA want to honour Jota's life but they will wait for the go-ahead from Liverpool before confirming any plans for a tribute.

Jota will be remembered for eternity and Liverpool will hold their own tributes to not just a fantastic footballer but a fantastic person on and off the pitch.

However, right now, everyone at the club is grieving. Jota wasn't just a footballer, he was a colleague, a friend, a teammate, to everyone involved with the club.

His passing leaves deep wounds that are never fully going to heal. The game at Wembley and any game taking place for the considerable future will be bittersweet and deeply sad.

Even just writing these words feel hollow. The loss of Jota is incomprehensible.
