Liverpool sensation closing in on jaw-dropping Man United move
A Liverpool sensation is close to moving to Manchester United.
Moving from Anfield to Old Trafford is almost unheard of these days. It's been almost 100-years since a Liverpool played moved to Manchester United a first-team level.
This happened before World War Two had even begun, in 1937 when Ted Savage ended his six year spell at Liverpool and opted to join Manchester United.
It was a move that never ended-up well for Savage, who played just five games for the Red Devils before moving onto join Wrexham less than a year later.
Since then, Liverpool have signed former Manchester United players, as have United. Michael Owen being the most infamous one among Liverpool supporters.
But never has a player moved directly from the Reds to the Red Devils.
The most significant deal that happened between the two sides was when Ethan Ennis, a talented Liverpool U16 player who had already played for the U18s moved from Liverpool's academy to Manchester United's.
Ennis moved when he was just 16-years-old. Now 21, he is on loan at Fleetwood Town and still yet to make an appearance for Manchester United's first-team.
The move never really worked out for him. Who knows where he could now be had he stayed at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp's guidance.
Now though, history could repeat itself with another Liverpool sensation seemingly closing in on a move to Manchester United in what could be a jaw-dropping moment for the academy.
At this moment in time Liverpool are in a desperate battle to tie down three exciting wonderkids to scholarship deals in Joshua Abe, Erik Farkas and Vincent Joseph.
All are regarded as generational prospects and one of the most exciting cohort in the club's academy history.
However, all of them are still yet to commit their futures and have a lot of interest in them from elsewhere, with some of the biggest clubs in England and Europe sniffing about for their services.
In the case of Joseph, who is the only one yet to make his U18 debut, a move elsewhere looks the most likely. He is an England and German youth international, who recently scored a hat-trick for England's U16 side.
Joseph is eligible to move abroad because he has a German passport. But it looks like the talented youngster who has 19 goals for Liverpool's U16 side could actually be moving to Manchester United.
There's speculation on X United gave a tour of their academy to an U16 player and that this kid could be an absolute gem.
X account Scouts in Attendance seemed to confirm that this is Vincent Joseph.
It feels like this is a move that is inevitable. A tour of the academy comes when things are at quite an advanced stage. So, Joseph looks like is closing in on a move to Old Trafford.
