Liverpool reveal INSANE Mo Salah transfer stance
Mohamed Salah has pushed the club into a difficult position and it's hard to see how we resolve it.
The winger's initial claims that he'd been 'thrown under the bus', alongside him speculating that he might not return to Anfield after the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) concludes, created shockwaves.
He was reintegrated into Arne Slot's matchday squad for the Premier League match against Brighton, although he started on the bench, meaning he's been absent from the starting XI for five games now.
It's been reiterated in several reports that Liverpool don't want him to go in January, but the club's long-term vision has now been mapped out regarding Salah and it paints a really fascinating picture.
Salah WILL stay until 2027
According to Lewis Steele at the Daily Mail, the Egyptian's contract will be seen through, and suggestions that Saudi Arabian clubs might have chance to sign Salah are not even remotely true.
In his report, he said: "Liverpool have zero intention of selling Salah in January and remain committed to resolving the situation (Friday was a huge step in the right direction there) especially given he signed a new deal worth more than Β£400,000 a week, a matter of months ago.
"Salah loves Liverpool and believes the English way of life suits him and his family, including his young daughters, who are settled. But he would not be totally against a move to Saudi Arabia and has never firmly ruled it out since they first tried in 2023.
"Saudi Arabian clubs are confident of landing Salah SHOULD he still want to leave Liverpool, and think they will need to pay close towards Β£100m to do so."
Looking back at the bombshell interview that Salah gave last weekend, it must be expressed that at no point did he say he wanted to leave, despite how certain news organisations tried to mishear him.
His commitment to the club has never wavered. At the heart of his plea to the media was an intention to play more often and not be continually left on the bench, feeling that he's got more to give the club.
That's not the argument that a player makes when they're trying to force a move. It's not that he wants more game-time in a different country; he merely feels playing is in Liverpool's best interest.
All signs are pointing towards Salah leaving on a free transfer in 2027, if the situation can be resolved properly, which feels like an insane decision given how complicated the entire situation is right now.
If he were to play next season, then a move to Saudi Arabia might then be on the cards, but Liverpool's intention to keep him and Salah's intention to stay, should write off that possibility for now.
