Saudi Arabia are preparing a massive move to sign Mo Salah.

This has been a conversation around the Egyptian ever since the Saudis have embarked on their mission to grow the game in their own country.

Salah has been a target for the biggest Saudi clubs in the summer of 2023 and 2024. He was less spoken about in 2025 because of his decision to sign a new contract.

But every step of the way, Saudis have always been there for Salah and ready to offer him big money to move to the league and be one of the major faces of the likes of Al Hilal or Al Nassr. Just as Cristiano Ronaldo has been over the last couple of years.

Salah is a huge name, especially in the Middle East. His achievements speak for themselves and he's approaching a crossroads in his Liverpool career.

Despite extending his time at the club, it does feel like Liverpool are making plans to move on from him. This season so far has felt like a weird sort of in-between, where Slot has the players to fit into a new system and he's trying to move towards that.

However, this new system does not necessarily accommodate nor suit Salah. He's no longer the speed machine that he was. He's not as effective as he was in one vs one duels.

Salah thrives in the box. But right now Liverpool don't need him to arrive in the box because they have Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak to do that.

What Liverpool now require of Salah is to play on the flanks - but this isn't his natural role anymore.

Amid all of this Indy Kaila has reported some massive news. According to the increasingly more reliable account, Saudi Arabia want Salah not at the end of his Liverpool contract in 2027 but in the upcoming summer window.

This would be a significant move from the Saudi league. But it's a move Liverpool might be ready to accept.

Richard Hughes will not want to lose Salah on a free. If there's money to be made from his departure, that is something the club has to consider.

As much as he is an icon and will forever be a legend at the club, the reality is that sooner or later Liverpool have to move on. The summer window in 2026 might be the perfect time for everyone involved to do it.
